Summer weather in Savoie and Méribel

Savoie and Méribel, located in the French Alps region, offer ideal summer weather conditions for mountain sports enthusiasts. In summer, Savoie is transformed into a verdant paradise, with temperatures averaging between 20°C and 27°C, making it an ideal time to enjoy outdoor activities in this beautiful region of the French Alps. Expect mild temperatures, sunny days and pleasant nights !

Méribel, nestled in the
heart of the 3 Valleys, enjoys a special microclimate thanks to its high altitude, ranging from 1,100 meters to 2,950 meters. As a result, the resort enjoys exceptional summer conditions, with perfectly groomed hiking trails! Temperatures are often a little cooler than in the valleys, with lows as low as 12°C at night. Days, though warm, are often accompanied by a gentle breeze, giving you perfect visibility !

As for rain, it can sometimes be present at higher altitudes, which can reinforce the
feeling of coolness, but the natural protection of the mountains often mitigates its impact. Nevertheless, keep an eye on the weather forecasts when you come to Méribel, so you can choose the right clothes to help you brave the weather conditions during the week !

The weather forecast: skiing in sunny Méribel!

Sunshine, ideal temperatures, clear skies and beautiful powder: what better way to spend a day on the slopes in the best possible conditions? But when rain, cold, wind, clouds or even the risk of avalanche come to play the spoilsport, your stay on the slopes can quickly turn into a nightmare.

To avoid disappointment and unpleasant surprises, remember to check the weather conditions regularly by consulting our webcam page or the real-time forecasts!

If you know what you're in for, you'll be able to plan what equipment you'll need (sunglasses, sun cream, ski mask, fleece) and adapt your behaviour on the slopes to the possible dangers (whether or not to go off-piste, be extra vigilant, tell your friends and family about your downhill itinerary).

Méribel also offers a wide range of
ski passes, so you can choose the one best suited to the current weather conditions.
