In 2019, the Roc de Fer sector in Méribel underwent major upgrades aimed at modernizing infrastructure and enhancing the skiing experience. These improvements have strengthened accessibility, safety, and comfort while preserving the area's authenticity and competitive spirit.
What’s new? The Legends chairlift, a premium and unique addition to the Les 3 Vallées ski area. This high-end chairlift, equipped with heated seats, provides exceptional comfort for skiers, even on the coldest days. With this new installation, Méribel reaffirms its commitment to offering top-tier comfort and service to its visitors.
The Roc de Fer sector also saw a significant overhaul of its ski lift system. The Cherferie chairlift was relocated, and two new slopes were created, including the now-famous Choucas run. Equipped with artificial snowmaking, Choucas ensures optimal snow conditions throughout the season. These new slopes provide a wider variety of trails suited to all levels, from beginners to expert skiers. Thanks to snowmaking technology, consistent snow quality is guaranteed ensuring an exceptional skiing experience at all times.
